The Book of Life

This short story will grab your interest and keep you turning pages to the end of the story. History…we all think we know what’s happened in the past and for the most part, we do. But there are some things that elude us and just can’t be satisfactorily explained; the Pyramids in Egypt, Puma Punku in Bolivia, and the ending of the Mayan Calendar, just to name a few. Scientists have all put forward explanations, but most explanations are full of holes and disagreements abound. Let’s take a look at renowned archeologist Stanley Oliver as he struggles to dig the past out of the dirt at a newly discovered Mayan Pyramid. Sometimes, it would be better to just leave the shovels at home, as Stanley is about to find out in the rain forests of Mexico. The truth can be world changing and everything known about the Mayan Civilization is about to be turned upside down. And history is about to come crashing into the present.

The Warlord

There are more twists and turns than a dragon's tail in this story. Humanity has moved out into the Milky Way and began colonizing the galaxy. After thousands of years, the colonized planets came together and chose the First Emperor. The emperor decided that the alien civilizations represented a threat to humanity and launched his fleets to go out and exterminate them. The early empire grew and for ten thousand years millions of planets inhabited by humans flourished in peace. But the later Emperors imposed taxes and restrictions that ultimately led to a civil war and the empire fell to rebels. The war didn't stop there; it spread out into the galaxy; millions of planets were destroyed or blasted back into the Stone Age. For the next thousand years the planets lucky enough to survive, attacked any civilization that approached and one day, a new conqueror arose intent on reuniting the galaxy under one rule. The Warlord was worse than the original Emperors, but there was no surviving a civilization that powerful, and the empire was growing quickly. Over the next three hundred years, the Warlord's descendants conquered a third of the galaxy and it appeared inevitable it was only a matter of time until his vision of uniting the galaxy under his Empire would be achieved. The arrival of an alien, the possible existence of a lost planet, among other surprises completely changes the equation. The search for humanity's mystical home world quickly began. The action starts fast and picks up speed as the search for humanity's home world intensifies.
Was Earth destroyed like history reports, or does it still exist? This is a page turner and will be difficult to put down.

The Trouble with Tourists

Humans have inhabited a deserted alien community on a desert planet. The original inhabitants left thousands of years earlier leaving the community behind. Earth's scientists discovered that the structures in the community could not be damaged or changed in any way. Even the most powerful lasers had no effect on them and the technology inside the city was far beyond anything Earth was capable of duplicating. After a hundred years of studying the community, Earth decided to allow colonists to go and live on the planet. It was determined before the original inhabitants of the community left that numerous intelligent civilizations had been eradicated that were located close to the desert planet.
A new discovery of advanced alien technology was uncovered under one of the buildings in the community which caused Earth to send one of its best scientists to investigate. Along with one of the colonists, he finds there is a good possibility that the species that built the community were probably coming back...and soon. If it was this species that eradicated the ancient civilizations, then Earth and its other colonies were in danger of destruction.
This is another page-turner that starts fast and picks up speed. The impacts on humanity are monumental and will have long term effects on its survival.
